About this role

This student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only. The intern must be at least 16 and have reliable transportation. This internship is offered in partnership with the Southern Appalachian Dance Academy. This position is in person, located Bristol, VA, not remote. Students will be employed by Southern Appalachian Dance Academy and all hiring decisions will be made by Southern Appalachian Dance Academy personnel. Southern Appalachian Dance Academy has provided the following job description for this internship: 


This internship requires the intern to work with the Artistic Director and Artistic Associate of Southern Appalachian Dance Academy. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a small arts business. They will learn elements such as organization, leadership, arts administration, and educational strategies for children. They will also have the chance to see professional level dance via classes and rehearsals.


This internship requires the following:
-Run errands as needed
-Distribute marketing materials to local businesses
-Organize studio/costumes/and props
-Assist in children’s dance classes
-Miscellaneous duties as needed
