The Opportunity


We are seeking a Student Intern to support environmental, regulatory and policy-related initiatives across a variety of business activities. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience researching environmental and public policy topics, analyzing information to support decision-making, and contributing to projects that help advance responsible energy development and regulatory compliance.


The Student Intern will gain exposure to environmental stewardship, stakeholder engagement, economic and policy considerations, and business operations while developing valuable analytical and professional skills.

What you'll do


  • Support environmental, regulatory and policy-related projects and initiatives
  • Research environmental, political, economic and policy topics to support business objectives
  • Analyze information and prepare summaries, reports and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement activities and relationship management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and team activities

Minimum Qualifications


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science, Political Science, Policy, Economics, or related degree program
  • Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
  • Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of environmental policy, regulatory processes, public policy or economics
  • Experience conducting research and analyzing complex information
  • Demonstrated interest in environmental, political or economic issues
  • Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
  • Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
  • Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
