We are seeking an early-career Integration Engineer to help build and support system-to-system integrations and APIs on AWS. You will work with senior engineers and business stakeholders, start with well-scoped tasks, and take on more ownership as you grow. Responsibilities

  • Gather and clarify requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Build, test, and deploy integrations and APIs using AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, S3, and API Gateway.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with proper error handling, logging, and retry, following team patterns.
  • Use Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Git-based workflows to deploy and manage your work.
  • Use AI coding agents day to day, following team standards for reviewing AI-generated code.
  • Help monitor and troubleshoot integrations in production.
  • Communicate clearly, share status, raise blockers early, and document your work.
  • Follow corporate policies, including cybersecurity, change control, and the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Internship, co-op, or substantial project experience building software.
  • Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) to build working software, and the ability to explain how you checked the agent’s output.
  • Working knowledge of Git and a basic understanding of APIs and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Initiative and ownership pick up work proactively, seeks help when needed, and keeps others informed.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to AWS, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with REST/OpenAPI or SQL databases.
  • AWS certification or interest in pursuing one.
