Rôle

L’infirmier(ère) en médecine-chirurgie assure la prise en charge globale des patients hospitalisés et contribue à la qualité, à la continuité et à la sécurité des soins.

Tâches principales

  • Évaluer l’état de santé des patients
  • Assurer la surveillance clinique et le suivi de l’évolution de leur condition
  • Administrer les soins infirmiers et les traitements prescrits
  • Administrer et surveiller la médication
  • Collaborer avec les médecins et l’équipe multidisciplinaire
  • Participer à la planification et à la coordination des soins
  • Documenter les interventions et observations au dossier clinique
  • Intervenir en situation d’urgence lorsque requis

Exigences

  • Être membre en règle de son ordre professionnel (OIIQ)
