SUMMARY OF POSITION 

We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Welder/ Fabricator for our growing industrial fabrication team in York, PA. A successful candidate should have a willingness to learn and basic understanding of complex drawings and instructions.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Layout, fit up, assemble and fabricate using engineered drawings.
• Welding structural and plate steel parts as specified per drawing and marked up weld symbols.
• Experience with handrail and stair fabrication is preferred.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s).
• Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade.
• Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
• Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning work area, operating break machine, shear and other production related jobs.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Prior experience of operating Overhead Cranes is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of welding experience is required.
• Welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G is required.
• Must be flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Must have strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions.
