About this role

Job Description:

Als Spezialist für Industrial Tolerances & Capability bei Airbus Aerostructures bist du der Garant für die geometrische Konsistenz unserer Flugzeugprodukte und Industriesysteme. Du agierst an der entscheidenden Schnittstelle zwischen Design (Engineering) und Fertigung (Manufacturing Engineering) für den Bereich Industrial Architecture and Developments in der Airbus Aerostructures (KOMI). Deine Aufgabe ist es, die Produktanforderungen mit den industriellen Fertigungskapazitäten in Einklang zu bringen. Du stellst sicher, dass Baukonzepte und Fertigungsprozesse so ausgelegt sind, dass sie Qualitäts- und Kostenziele durch präzise Toleranzvorgaben und statistische Prozessfähigkeit erreichen.

Kernaufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Geometrische Architektur & Co-Design: Du bewertest Baukonzepte und Bauweisen in frühen Projektphasen und optimierst die industrielle Montagereihenfolge und Fügestrategie. Als Gegenpart zum Engineering stellst du sicher, dass Produkttoleranzen und industrielle Fähigkeiten (Manufacturing Capabilities) konvergieren.

  • Toleranzmanagement & Modellierung: Du entwickelst und verwaltest industrielle Toleranzmodelle und definierst die Kaskadierung von Toleranzanforderungen über alle Montage- und Fertigungsstufen innerhalb der Airbus Aerostructures hinweg. Du erstellst die Industrial Tolerancing Datasets (ITD) und übersetzt geometrische Anforderungen in industrielle Requirements.

  • Manufacturing Capability Assessment: Du analysierst und modellierst die Prozessfähigkeit (Jigs & Tools, Maschinen) basierend auf der Manufacturing Capability Database (MCD). Du nutzt statistische Analysen, um Risiken in der Fertigung vorherzusehen und die Prozessstabilität zu gewährleisten.

  • Validierung & Freigabe: Du stellst die Erstellung und Validierung der Frontier Drawings (FD) und Package Frontier Drawings (PFD) im Namen des Manufacturing Engineering sicher. 

  • Steuerung der Kontrollstrategie: Als aktives Mitglied im Control Plan Multi-Functional Team (MFT) entwickelst du die Strategie für die statistische Prozesskontrolle (SPC). Du stellst die Konsistenz zwischen den Messanforderungen und der operativen Messstrategie in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Industrial Measurement Teams sicher.

Anforderungsprofil und Qualifikationen

  • Ausbildung: Ein abgeschlossenes technisches Hochschulstudium im Bereich Maschinenbau, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Produktionstechnik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung.

  • Berufserfahrung: Langjährige relevante Berufserfahrung im Bereich Toleranzmanagement, Geometrie-Variabilitätsmanagement oder Manufacturing Engineering in einem komplexen industriellen Umfeld.

Fachliche Kompetenzen:

  • Exzellente Kenntnisse im Toleranzmanagement und im Umgang mit GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Sicherer Umgang mit statistischen Methoden zur Prozessfähigkeit und SPC.

  • Erfahrung in der Anwendung von Simulations- und Konstruktionstools (z. B. 3DCS, CATIA, 3DX).

  • Fundiertes Verständnis von Fertigungsprozessen (Zusammenbau, Bearbeitung) und industriellen Messsystemen.

  • Kenntnis der Airbus-spezifischen Prozesse (z. B. DE.PA, FU.IN) ist von großem Vorteil.

Soziale und kommunikative Kompetenzen:

  • Starke analytische Fähigkeiten und die Kompetenz, komplexe geometrische Sachverhalte gegenüber verschiedenen Stakeholdern (Design, Werk, Management) zu vermitteln.

  • Durchsetzungsvermögen in der Verhandlung von Anforderungen zwischen Produktentwicklung und Produktion.

  • Proaktive und präzise Arbeitsweise mit einem hohen Verantwortungsbewusstsein für Produktqualität.

  • Sprachen: fließendes Deutsch und verhandlungssicheres Englisch (Projektsprache).

  • Mobilität: Bereitschaft zu nationalen und internationalen Dienstreisen zur Abstimmung mit den Standorten und Partnern (ca. 1–3 Mal pro Monat).
