HVAC Maintenance Technician

Are you a seasoned HVAC pro who knows how to turn maintenance visits into meaningful results?

Do you take pride in educating homeowners and helping them understand their system without using pushy sales tactics?

Are you looking for a company that values your experience and gives you the freedom to do things the right way?

About Us

Rocket Cooling is a fast-growing, locally owned HVAC company built by two entrepreneurs, not a big corporation. We’ve built our reputation by combining top-tier technical expertise with honest, education-driven service. Our team focuses on building value for customers, not selling them things they don’t need.

We reward experience, professionalism, and initiative. Our structure is simple: no corporate layers, no red tape, just the support and tools you need to deliver exceptional service and grow your career.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a seasoned Maintenance Technician (6+ years experience) to take ownership of our maintenance program in the Southwest Florida market. You’ll perform scheduled system tune-ups, educate customers on how to protect their investment, and recommend upgrades that make sense, like UV lights, soft start kits, or surge protectors.

Our Lehigh Acres office team handles dispatch, scheduling, and parts so you can focus on delivering excellent service and converting opportunities on the spot when it benefits the customer.

• Identify potential issues early and recommend solutions that prevent costly repairs.
• Educate homeowners on their system’s condition and the benefits of enhancements such as UV lights, surge protection, and soft start kits.
• Deliver honest, education-based recommendations to improve efficiency and comfort.
• Accurately complete Rocket Cooling’s maintenance forms in ServiceTitan to document findings, maintain detailed system history, and provide customers with clear insight into their system’s performance.
• Keep vehicles and tools clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Support the team with occasional repair or installation assistance as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service when scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of HVAC experience, with strong maintenance and diagnostic skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and earn homeowner trust.
• Solid understanding of system performance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance best practices.
• Experience with ServiceTitan or ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Valid and clean driver’s license.
• EPA certification and trade school training preferred.
• Must meet our commercial vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate plus strong commissions structure
• Health, dental, and vision insurance.
• 401(k) retirement savings plan.
• Career advancement opportunities in a fast-growing company.
• Flexible, supportive environment with no corporate red tape.
• Back-office team that keeps you focused on the field, not the paperwork.
