With a presence in over 30 countries, BGA staff provide bespoke services to clients across the region. BGA’s Human Resources, Talent, and Training Team is responsible for ensuring BGA's teams have the staff, tools, and resources they need to engage the world’s leading companies and organizations, and craft strategic solutions that advance their business priorities. We seek a talented, highly motivated Human Resources Associate to support our teams. This position will report to BGA’s Director of Human Resources, and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.


Position Responsibilities 

  • Support the in-processing and out-processing of team members, including the preparation of offer letters, collection of employment documentation and performing background checks. 
  • Manage and track the distribution of IT equipment for Asia based employees, including working with our IT and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely support to employees. 
  • Review employee expense reimbursements using expense management software.  
  • Review all travel requests and booking inquires for Asia-based employees.   
  • Assist with the research and preparation of new HR orientation materials and various HR-related policies.  
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll tasks, including approving timesheets for all non-exempt staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for rolls based throughout Asia.
  • Review and update employee personnel files and information in HR and internal systems as needed.   
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Job Requirements 

We seek an exceptionally collegial, highly motivated self-starter who is excited about helping BGA function more efficiently and productively. He or she must be able to manage multiple work streams while meeting deadlines and should be well organized, detail-oriented, and collegial. She or he must be comfortable interacting with a range of interlocutors and stakeholders, and demonstrate excellent judgement and discretion. The ability to interact effectively both inside the company and externally, in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive and efficient, is crucial to this role.


Qualifications include: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in fluent English; proficiency in an Asian language is a strong plus. 
  • Demonstrated interest in human resources, with 1-5 years experience in HR or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and payroll regulations in India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS365 required; familiarity with Salesforce, BambooHR, and Tallie a plus. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail, and a proven ability to gather and compile data, and prepare reports.
  • Collaborator with the ability to adapt to the company’s changing needs.
