Details

The Music Therapist is responsible for providing music therapy services to hospice patients according to their plan of care. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform assessments, evaluations, and establishes a plan and goals
- Perform music therapy treatments as prescribed by the Attending Physician and the Suncrest Hospice team
- Report on client's response to treatment or any changes in condition
- Document services delivered using electronic methods on day of service
- Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and collaborate with physicians, nurses, chaplains, aides, facility staff, and other members of the care team
- Ability to work well with verbal and non-verbal clients
- Connect with families and staff in a variety of outreach settings
- Ability to improvise in a clinical setting
Qualifications
- Currently Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC)
- One year of music therapy experience
- Completed Music Therapy Degree Requirements
- Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver's license and required vehicle insurance
