Heavy Rigid Driver / Installation Manager

Are you an experienced Heavy Rigid Driver who enjoys being on the road just as much as being hands-on at event sites?

We're looking for a Heavy Rigid Driver / Installation Manager to join our team at Expo Centric. This is a unique hybrid role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You'll be responsible for safely transporting exhibition stands, event equipment, and project materials across Sydney and Australia, while also leading and supporting the installation and dismantling of exhibition stands at trade shows, expos, conferences, and events.

🔍 What You'll Do

• Safely operate Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks to transport exhibition stands, event equipment, and project materials to and from warehouses, venues, and client sites.
• Load, secure, unload, and handle exhibition assets while ensuring they arrive safely and on time.
• Lead or assist with the installation (bump-in) and dismantling (bump-out) of exhibition stands, displays, and event infrastructure.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Warehouse, Production, and Install teams to ensure projects are delivered smoothly.
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintain delivery documentation, and ensure compliance with road safety and company procedures.
• Assist with warehouse duties including packing, organising, preparing, and maintaining exhibition assets when required.
• Represent Expo Centric professionally on-site while maintaining strong relationships with clients, venue staff, and suppliers.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with WHS requirements.

✅ What You'll Bring

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence (essential).
• Experience driving trucks transporting equipment, freight, or event materials.
• Previous experience in exhibitions, events, construction, logistics, furniture removals, staging, shopfitting, or similar industries.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding work.
• Experience installing exhibition stands, displays, staging, or similar structures is highly regarded.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel during peak event periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on-site.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift Licence, White Card, EWP, or Working at Heights certification are advantageous.
