Job Description:

  • Notifies and calls other departments or physicians when necessary and places appropriate information on the chart, forms, computer, and electronic record.

  • Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor.

  • Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills.

  • Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.

  • Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and accurately documents and monitor activities as needed.

  • Interacts with patients in a manner appropriate to their age, acuity, and culture.

  • Responds appropriately in emergency situations.

  • Performs indirect patient care duties related to admission, transfer, and discharge.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Intranet and current hospital EMR systems [Preferred]

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English with good oral communication skills. [Preferred]

  • Skills in greeting new patients, maintaining accurate lists of telephone numbers, and assisting with patient transfers. [Preferred]

  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of diagnostic procedures, supply maintenance, and auditing of national patient safety goals. [Preferred]

  • Understands the electronic medical record and uses it proficiently for retrieval of patient information under confidentiality guidelines. [Preferred]


Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

  • Associate [Preferred]


Field of Study:

  • in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field


Work Experience:

  • 1+ administrative support in a healthcare setting [Preferred]

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

  • NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$15.84 - $26.08
