Job Description

Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team, you will perform direct patient services tasks.

Accountabilities:

  • Assisting with patient activities of daily living, mobilization and transport
  • Ordering supplies
  • Daily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areas
  • Maintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipment
  • Transporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tube
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Registered with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
  • Personal support worker certificate required from an accredited institution
  • Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques
  • Current CPR
  • Recent related experience working with patients in a rehabilitation setting
  • Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skills
  • Flexibility to meet unit needs
  • Ability to work well with team members
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • Ability to travel between and work at all Osler sites as required
  • Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)

Additional Information

Currently Days/Nights, 8 hours,Β including weekends and statutory holidays
(subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary:
Minimum: Β $31.45 per hour
Maximum: $32.09 per hour
