Role Summary 

The Head of Performance Marketing owns the operational, financial, and analytical backbone of paid customer acquisition for the Direct-to-Clinician business at Eko. You will, along with your team of acquisition marketing channel managers, be accountable for efficiently deploying paid media dollars to healthcare professional audiences with the goal of convincing them to purchase an Eko device. This role is a great fit for someone who thinks strategically, and thrives in a hands-on, technical, data-driven environment and enjoys the challenge of determining where incremental dollars should be deployed to drive efficient new customer acquisition. You will work in tight partnership with the GM of Provider and Senior Director of eCommerce to oversee performance across all existing and emerging paid marketing channels channels.

This is a high impact role where you will lead and develop a high-performing team of performance marketers, working closely with them to refine the vision, execute a strategy informed by customer insights, and ultimately scale paid marketing initiatives to drive omnichannel customer acquisition and revenue growth for the direct provider business at Eko. You will help drive our performance culture, directly managing and recruiting A+ talent and guiding internal and external partners in creating effective and impactful work, and hold a key role on the Provider Leadership Team at Eko. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Lead and scale Eko’s paid media marketing efforts for the DTC business across Social, Influencers, Search, Programmatic, Offline, Audio, and Affiliate Partnerships, managing both in-house talent and external agencies to drive efficient growth.
  • Drive forecasting, performance reporting, and attribution measurement for the direct business, including setting targets and measuring performance for Media Spend, Revenue, ROAS, and channel attribution, ensuring the team achieves or exceeds their goals through intentional planning, flawless execution, and continuous optimization.
  • Guide the development of growth-focused creative, weight in on the priorities for video, static, and audio ad production based on performance insights and customer research, working closely with our in-house creative team and external creative agencies.
    Support the campaign calendar and channel execution for key messaging moments, limited edition colorways, price promotions, and industry events—ensuring timely, cohesive, and high-performing campaigns.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Creative thinker who is full of ideas, but follows a structured test-and-learn approach; recognizes patterns, forms hypotheses, can clearly identify next steps from test results.
  • Experience managing a team of performance channel managers with a track record of growing, coaching and developing talent.
  • Deep hands-on experience managing at least a few of the following channels for direct response objectives: Paid Social, Paid Search, Display, YouTube, Linear TV, CTV, Influencer, Affiliate, Radio, Podcast, Direct Mail, Streaming Music.
  • Experience setting objectives and measurable goals, determining budgets, and delivering against bookings, revenue, and ROAS targets.
  • Top-notch analytical skills. Experience determining the “true ROI” of marketing initiatives by leveraging a variety of different marketing measurement methodologies (i.e., last-click, pixel/tag-based, survey-based, MMM, geo/holdout tests, etc.).
  • Humble and zero ego in spite of expertise—easy to work with, great cross-functional collaborator, and someone who is open to and welcomes their POV being challenged. 
  • A “doer,” with an ownership mentality and a bias towards action. Some portion of your work will be hands-on, even as an executive in the company.
  • Structured thinker and communicator.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Leading performance marketing at a high-growth DTC brand.
  • Understanding of content asset development across a breadth of styles, medium, and sources (from still photography to moving, video, to user-generated content)
  • Able to manage effectively at macro and micro levels; equally comfortable planning long term strategy with our executive team and getting hands-on with a channel manager to analyze and interpret test results or performance trends.
  • Comfort with AI-accelerated ways of working — moving faster from data to insight to test to result.
