Job Description

1. Business Leadership & P&L Management

• Own and drive P&L performance; achieve annual Net Sales and EBITA growth targets (Budget) and multi-year business plans.
• Set and execute local business strategy aligned with Eurofins Asia Pacific direction; identify and develop new service lines, market segments, and revenue opportunities.
• Prepare and propose annual budget and 3-year plan; report on any deviations to agreed results and work closely with financial controlling.
• Increase profitability to meet best industry standards in all activities.
• Lead cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories in the region.

2. Operations & Technical Oversight

• Improve operational efficiency at laboratories; streamline operational processes and make good use of IT/LIMS to achieve high efficiency and productivity.
• Support the development, implementation, and optimal use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); ensure its efficient usage at all levels to improve productivity, profitability, and quality.
• Maintain high quality standards across all Eurofins ETM testing portfolio; maintain and expand annual quality accreditations (CAP/ISO 17025, VILAS, MoNRE and international standards as applicable).
• Improve the technical and scientific aspects of the business units by ensuring the appropriate development and application of new techniques and business processes.
• Oversee Health & Safety compliance and environmental regulatory requirements across all facilities.

3. Commercial Development & Client Relations

• Support the sales process and ensure that relations with clients are good and efficient; attend meetings/audits with key clients at all levels and develop an in-depth knowledge of customer requirements through regular meetings.
• Develop relationships with government bodies (MoNRE, DONRE, industrial zones), MNCs, and international organizations.
• Develop the local strategy to grow the business and offer new services upon strategic opportunities; build brand awareness and market positioning for Eurofins ETM in Vietnam’s environmental services sector.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments; maintain customer satisfaction, including internal customers.

4. People Leadership & Organization Building

• Hire, motivate, develop, and retain excellent Leaders and employees; focus on developing and strengthening the next level of leaders.
• Build and develop a high-performing leadership team aligned with Eurofins Leadership Charter; drive talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
• Set up Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress; follow up as appropriate and become hands-on if required to ensure achievement of goals.
• Act as a role model for leadership and staff, aligned with Eurofins Leadership Charter; foster a positive work culture and ensure adoption of Eurofins core values throughout the organisation.

5. Group Integration & Governance

• Guarantee and control that all relevant legal and Health & Safety requirements are abided by in the Business Unit(s) under direct or indirect responsibility; ensure accreditations are being maintained and regularly expanded.
• Operate within Eurofins’ global governance framework: reporting, compliance, and ethical standards; actively participate in Eurofins Asia Pacific leadership network and group initiatives.

• Ensure all legal, financial, and regulatory obligations in Vietnam are met.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
• 10–15+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., General Manager, Managing Director, Country Head, Business Unit Head).
• Proven experience leading organizations of 50+ employees within an MNC or international business environment.
• Background in environmental testing, environmental consulting, compliance, industrial chemicals, water treatment, food safety testing, life sciences, industrial hygiene, technical consulting, or other related industries.
• Strong understanding of business operations, P&L management, and working within a global matrix organization.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese environmental regulations, testing standards, and experience working with government authorities (e.g., MoNRE, DONRE) is highly preferred. Candidates from adjacent industries with the ability to quickly develop environmental domain expertise are also encouraged to apply.
• Vietnamese native with professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
