We’re looking for a calm, organized, and resourceful individual to join our team at Astro Transport as a Hauling Dispatcher. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, thinking on their feet, and helping coordinate moving pieces in a fast-paced environment. No hauling or dispatch experience? That’s okay — we provide full training to help you build the knowledge and confidence you need to succeed.

About the Role

As a Hauling Dispatcher, you’ll play a central role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be the link between customers, drivers, and equipment — making sure the right resources are in the right place at the right time. You’ll manage incoming requests, coordinate hauling trips, and adapt quickly when plans change. From scheduling and routing to communicating updates and solving unexpected challenges, you’ll help ensure every job is handled efficiently and professionally. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role where no two days look the same. With experience, you’ll develop a strong understanding of logistics, fleet coordination, and customer service within the transportation industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing incoming calls, emails, and requests for hauling services
• Coordinating and dispatching trucks, trailers, and equipment based on job requirements
• Planning routes and schedules to ensure efficient and timely service
• Communicating job details, requirements, and updates to drivers
• Providing customers with updates, timelines, and support
• Adjusting plans as needed to handle delays, changes, or unexpected issues
• Coordinating documentation, permits, and job-related details
• Monitoring active jobs to ensure smooth execution and completion
• Working closely with management and the operations team to support daily planning
• Helping prepare schedules and assignments for upcoming shifts
