Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. The Harry Potter Shop NY is hiring holiday seasonal associates! We will be hosting a hiring event at the store on Tuesday, September 29th.

Please read through the details for more information regarding the event.

We are hiring seasonal associates for the following departments:

• Sales Associate (Cash handling, guest experience, etc.) 
• Inventory Operations Associate (Handle shipments and inventory replenishments)

Length of Employment:

• Beginning of November 2026 - January 9th, 2027
• Part-Time Position- Average of 20-24 hours per week
• Open availability needed for weekends and three days during the week
• This is a holiday position so you would be required to work the week of Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Years

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months experience working at a retail store 
• Minimum 6 months experience with cash handling and customer service or inventory/BOH responsibilities
• Knowledge of Harry Potter series and background 
• Demonstrated customer service skills 
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. verbal, non-verbal, visual) with the ability to communicate effectively in public to both small and large groups. 
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment 
• Strong attention to detail with focus on basic numerical skills 
• Highly motivated self-starter with good initiative 
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
• Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the operating needs of the business, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts 
• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and varying shifts.

• If you are still interested in interviewing, we will be accepting walk-ins between 10:30 am-12 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. This will be the only day and timeframe we are accepting walk-ins. If you show up outside of this timeframe, we will not be able to accommodate an interview.
• Since you do not have a reserved time, please plan for an hour plus wait time after checking in as reservations will have priority.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Chicago. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour.
