Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job descriptions can feel a bit formulaic sometimes, but we promise Canva is anything but. If you're drawn to what we're building and you see yourself in this role, we'd love to hear from you.

Where and How You Can Work

This role is based in Singapore — a natural home for anyone working across Southeast Asia's most dynamic markets. We believe in working where you do your best thinking, and Canva offers flexibility to make that work for you.

What You'd Be Doing in This Role

Canva is growing fast across Southeast Asia, and this role exists to unlock our next wave of that growth. As Growth Partnerships Lead, you'll identify and build the partnerships that help millions more people across the region discover and use Canva — from telco bundles and loyalty programs to consumer brands, media, distribution channels, and ideas nobody has tried before.

This isn't a traditional partnerships role. You'll be creating growth channels that go beyond conventional marketing, working at the intersection of strategy, commercial negotiation, and hands-on execution. You'll shape how Canva shows up across Southeast Asia by building something genuinely new — and you'll have the cross-functional access, the autonomy, and the backing to do it well.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Developing and executing Canva's growth partnerships strategy across Southeast Asia — identifying, evaluating, and prioritising the opportunities with the highest impact on user acquisition, engagement, and revenue
  • Building and managing relationships with strategic partners across the region, including telcos, consumer brands, digital platforms, retailers, loyalty programs, media owners, and government organisations
  • Leading commercial negotiations and structuring partnership agreements that create genuine, lasting value for both sides
  • Taking partnerships end-to-end — from spotting the opportunity and pitching the idea all the way through negotiation, implementation, launch, and performance review
  • Working closely with Marketing, Product, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Country teams to bring partnerships to life without losing momentum
  • Continuously exploring unconventional growth opportunities, testing new ideas, and scaling the ones that work

You're Probably a Match If:

  • You have significant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial strategy — with a clear track record of partnerships you sourced, negotiated, and launched that delivered measurable results
  • You're a builder: you're energised by creating opportunities from scratch, not managing established programs
  • You're commercially sharp — you can identify what makes a partnership genuinely valuable, structure deals that work for both parties, and hold your own at the negotiating table with senior stakeholders
  • You operate independently and stay hands-on — whether that's building a proposal, coordinating stakeholders, or rolling up your sleeves to fix something last-minute
  • You influence without authority: you build trust, align diverse teams, and keep things moving even when it's complex
  • You know Southeast Asia — its markets, its nuances, and what it takes to get things done across the region

About the Team

Canva's Growth team is responsible for helping more people around the world discover, use, and love Canva. The partnerships function within Growth focuses on creating entirely new distribution channels and ecosystem plays that sit outside the traditional marketing playbook. You'll be working on some of the most creative, high-stakes commercial work in the company — with the freedom to think big and the support to execute.

What's in It for You?

  • Equity packages — so you share in Canva's success
  • Inclusive parental leave policy that supports all parents & carers
  • An annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to support your wellbeing, social connection, office setup & more
  • Flexible leave options that empower you to be a force for good, take time to recharge and supports you personally
