Job Description

The Group Design Supervisor provides hands-on design leadership within Klick’s shared-service Creative team, developing thoughtful visual concepts and scalable design systems across a mix of brands and assignments. Working across multiple projects and stakeholders, this role balances hands-on design with the direction and development of other designers. The role partners with Creative leadership, copy, client services, and cross-functional teams to turn strategic briefs into compelling, well-crafted visual solutions and is positioned to grow toward Associate Design Director-level responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create conceptual visual solutions and scalable design systems using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, translating creative briefs into cohesive work across brands and channels.
  • Lead concurrent design projects from concept through delivery, balancing hands-on design with delegation, design reviews, stakeholder input, timelines, and production requirements.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to creative leaders, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining the integrity and strategic intent of the work.
  • Direct and mentor designers through clear briefs, design critiques, and actionable feedback, helping strengthen craft while maintaining a consistent standard of visual quality.
  • Partner across Creative and other disciplines to evolve design systems, explore AI-enabled design workflows, and deliver adaptable visual solutions for stakeholders across multiple brands.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of professional graphic or digital design experience preferred, with a portfolio demonstrating highly conceptual thinking, strong visual craft, and ownership of sophisticated design work
  • Demonstrated experience creating and evolving design systems, with portfolio examples showing how visual principles and components were applied consistently across multiple assets, channels, or brand touchpoints.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, plus demonstrated Figma experience producing professional design deliverables and collaborative design systems.
  • Experience leading concurrent creative projects while balancing hands-on design with delegation or supervision, including responsibility for reviewing and maintaining the quality of other designers’ work.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting visual concepts and articulating design rationale to clients, creative leaders, or other senior stakeholders, including responding to feedback and advocating for design decisions.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising designers through briefs, critiques, and actionable feedback, with demonstrated readiness to take on broader people and creative leadership responsibilities.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience incorporating AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other AI-assisted creative tools into design ideation, workflows, or production.
  • Agency, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience, including exposure to delivering creative work for multiple stakeholders or brands.
  • Experience building design systems for emerging, smaller, or niche brands, or extending established systems for large, multi-channel brands.
  • Experience with UX/UI principles, digital production workflows, motion, animation, or other multidisciplinary design capabilities that extend core graphic design expertise.
