Job Description:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Groundskeeper is to maintain grounds of company property, whether it be industrial, commercial, or public property.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
- Clean grounds and remove litter
- Rake and bag or burns leaves
- Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides
- Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs
- Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks
- Make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment
- Make minor repairs to and maintains building areas
- Assists office departments with moving and storage of documents and equipment
- Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree), and/or one to three months related experience or training
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform to essential functions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
- Must be able to lift, climb, kneel, walk, and stand for long periods of times
