Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join our internal Global Network team and act as the subject matter expert (SME) for network services across the organisation. 
The successful candidate will lead the resolution of complex incidents, drive continual improvement and automation and work closely with the Network Manager on overall strategy. They will collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to translate business requirements into practical designs and enforce network security and access policies.

  • You’ll lead global network architecture and operations, ensuring alignment with business strategy, security standards (zero‑trust), and operational supportability, while defining and governing policies (firewalls, segmentation, access controls).
  • You’ll own end‑to‑end incident, problem, and escalation management—providing technical leadership for major outages, driving root‑cause analysis, and delivering permanent fixes within SLA targets.
  • You’ll design and review network solutions (HLD/LLD), validate security controls, and lead delivery of changes/projects across LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, Internet edge, and cloud, ensuring readiness and documentation.
  • You’ll manage and optimize network services including monitoring/observability, lifecycle activities, vendor/ISP escalations, and performance tuning across SD‑WAN (Meraki), NSX/VXLAN overlays, and SAN connectivity.
  • You’ll mentor engineers and set technical direction while improving automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible), service processes, and knowledge sharing through runbooks, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • You bring a degree in IT (or equivalent) with professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE), ideally progressing toward expert-level credentials such as CCIE.
  • You demonstrate deep hands‑on and design expertise in enterprise networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, routing/switching, QoS) across multi‑site, multi‑vendor environments (Cisco, Fortinet, NSX, Meraki, Windows/Linux).
  • You own and govern network security controls (firewalls, ACLs, NAT, segmentation, VPN, secure access) aligned with best practices, with strong experience in VXLAN, NSX SDN, SAN networking (FC/iSCSI), and Meraki SD‑WAN.
  • You lead delivery and operations, including troubleshooting complex issues, managing escalations, driving change governance, producing HLD/LLD documentation, and leveraging automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
  • You communicate confidently with stakeholders, thrive in high‑pressure and multi‑cultural environments, continuously improve and learn, and demonstrate strong teamwork, problem‑solving, integrity, and fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
