Global Assistant Brand Manager - Vaseline
About this role
JOB TITLE: GLOBAL ASSISTANT BRAND MANAGER - VASELINE
LOCATION: SINGAPORE
ABOUT UNILEVER INTERNATIONAL
Unilever International is Unilever's agile, entrepreneurial route to market for white-space and complementary portfolio opportunities. We bring iconic brands and new formats to consumers across geographies and channels, working with a founder's mindset to serve underserved demand. Our people connect global scale with local opportunity, move decisively across boundaries and build practical solutions that unlock growth.
JOB PURPOSE
This role will help shape and deliver the next phase of growth for Skincare brands across Unilever International. The Assistant Global Brand Manager will translate the Vaseline Skincare Body growth strategy into a focused innovation and market deployment agenda, with end-to-end ownership across new product development, tailored local marketing plans and global innovation roll-outs.
This is a commercially accountable brand-building role for an experienced marketer who can move confidently between strategy and execution. The role will identify growth opportunities across Petroleum Jelly, Body Lotions and emerging formats; build compelling business cases; lead cross-functional innovation; and partner with markets to land launches and campaigns with pace, relevance and excellence.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Vaseline is one of our priority growth brands within Unilever International, with significant opportunity to strengthen the total Body portfolio. The role provides dedicated leadership to convert global pipelines and local market opportunities into scalable, profitable growth. It will connect Global Brand, Business Group and Business Unit teams with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Development, regulatory, agencies and market partners, ensuring that the right innovations and marketing plans reach consumers with strong commercial discipline.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Own the Skincare Body growth agenda: Support the development and execution of a clear, multi-year growth strategy across core and emerging body formats, grounded in consumer needs, market whitespace, brand fit and commercial attractiveness.
- Lead end-to-end New Product Development: Translate priority opportunities into robust innovation projects, from insight, concept and proposition through business case, product development, packaging, claims, launch readiness and post-launch review.
- Build an efficient innovation roll-out engine: Work with the Beauty & Wellbeing Innovations Lead and cross-functional partners to improve portfolio deployment, engage the right stakeholders at the right stage and accelerate projects that meet size-of-prize and profitability guardrails.
- Drive global innovation roll-outs: Assess global innovations for Unilever International, define the right market and portfolio fit, adapt the mix where required and lead disciplined deployment across priority markets.
- Create tailored local marketing plans: Partner with Business Unit Brand Leads and Business Development teams to translate global brand platforms into locally relevant plans across key visuals, digital, retail activation, PR, influencer and customer programmes.
- Lead major brand campaigns: Own selected Body campaigns and activation programmes, ensuring that the strategic idea, asset ecosystem and market deployment plan build the total brand and support priority ranges.
- Shape the long-range innovation plan: Build and maintain a three-year innovation roadmap for Body, mapping global pipelines and local whitespace
- Make commercially grounded choices: Develop size-of-prize, pricing, margin and investment cases with Finance and Supply Chain; prioritize the highest-value opportunities; and recommend where to scale, adapt, defer or stop.
- Own performance tracking: Monitor the total Body P&L and launch scorecards, including turnover, incremental turnover, underlying sales growth, gross margin, brand investment and unit economics, translating performance into clear corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional delivery: Align Brand, R&D, Supply Chain, procurement, Finance, Customer Development, regulatory, legal, artwork, agencies and markets around clear milestones, decisions, risks and accountable owners.
- Influence senior stakeholders: Prepare sharp recommendations and leadership updates, surface risks early and drive timely decisions across a complex global and regional stakeholder network.
**The roles of duties are not exhaustive and may change according to business requirements.

THE LEADERSHIP WE EXPECT
You operate as a brand owner, not a project coordinator. You can frame the opportunity, make a recommendation, align diverse stakeholders and drive the work through to measurable market impact. You stay close enough to the detail to protect quality while keeping sight of the strategic and commercial objective. You are curious about consumers, decisive with data, comfortable challenging established approaches and motivated by building repeatable growth platforms rather than delivering isolated activities.
