General Manager – Commercial & Industrial HVAC

Florence, SC | $120,000 Base Salary + Commission

We are seeking a business-driven General Manager to lead and grow our Florence, SC operations. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader who understands how to manage people, drive business performance, develop customer relationships, and turn growth opportunities into results.

The ideal candidate combines strong business and operational leadership with an understanding of the HVAC, mechanical, construction, or related technical service industry. You do not have to be a career HVAC technician, but you must be comfortable leading technical teams and learning the operational demands of the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead Local Operations: Oversee daily business operations, including HVAC service, installation, sheet metal fabrication, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Drive Business Growth: Identify new revenue opportunities, develop strategic relationships, pursue new commercial and industrial accounts, and grow the local customer base.
• Manage Business Performance: Monitor financial and operational performance, evaluate key metrics, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Lead and Develop Teams: Manage, coach, and develop HVAC technicians, sheet metal mechanics, fabricators, and other team members while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Build Customer Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding the company's presence in the Florence market.
• Ensure Quality and Safety: Promote safe work practices, high-quality workmanship, productivity, and dependable project execution.
• Partner with Ownership: Collaborate on business strategy, budgets, growth initiatives, and long-term operational goals.

• Proven experience in general management, business operations, branch management, or a similar leadership role.
• Strong business acumen, including an understanding of financial performance, budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
• Demonstrated success in business development, sales growth, or building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Experience leading teams, managing competing priorities, and holding employees accountable for results.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in HVAC, mechanical contracting, commercial construction, industrial services, or a related technical industry is strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand technical operations and effectively lead skilled tradespeople and field personnel.
• Hands-on, results-oriented leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work in the Florence, SC area.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• $120,000 annual base salary plus commission
