About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
- Research and resolve GL discrepancies, including unusual balances and reconciling items
- Maintain and update recurring accruals, prepaid expenses, and amortization schedules
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash account review
- Administer bi-weekly payroll process
- Support fixed asset tracking, additions, disposals, and depreciation entries
- Collaborate with project accounting, AP, AR, and payroll teams to ensure proper coding and timely month-end close
- Assist with audit support, financial reporting, and preparation of schedules for internal and external stakeholders
- Support process improvements and internal controls related to the general ledger and month-end close
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in general ledger accounting, month-end close, or corporate accounting
- College degree in accounting/finance, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with ERP or project accounting systems (Deltek, NetSuite, or similar) or a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation is negotiable and shall be offered commensurate with experience
- Expected base salary range: $80,000 - $95,000
