Calling all 'Green thumbs'! As a HammondCare volunteer in Scone, you'll engage with people living in aged care,  pottering in the garden, tending the plants, planting and growing vegetables and watering the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening.


Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare  

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
