About this role

Fund Analyst II
The Fund Analyst II with the Mutual Fund Operations Team is responsible for a wide variety of operational and oversight functions related to mutual fund offerings. This job leverages existing knowledge of mutual funds or demonstrates ability to build this knowledge quickly in order to support the team's core functions which include: dividend processing and reconciliation, daily trade settlement and pricing, new fund set up, corporate actions, asset take overs/deconversions and fund line-up changes, and fee collections and payments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Works within a team of analysts to ensure all operational expectations and service levels are met related to mutual fund offerings on the organization’s platform as record keeper (such as dividend processing, NSCC trade settlements, large trade notifications, pricing).
  • Takes on ad hoc requests or provide coverage to peers in a teamwork environment.
  • Establishes effective relationships with internal and external business partners needed to support new and ongoing changes in mutual fund offerings.
  • Analyzes regulatory filings and operational notices for client impact and researches new fund offerings.
  • Evaluates risks and escalates issues effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Supports reconciliation teams in researching share differences and invoicing/fee payment items.
  • Participates in the implementation of system enhancements, documentation of system controls and department procedure updates.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: NRF

Required Skills: 

  • 2+ Years of experience in Operations Financial Services industry. 

  • 2+ Years of experience in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • FINRA Licenses - Series 6 or Series 7

  • Knowledge of Mutual Funds

  • Record keeper experience (Dividend processing, NSCC trade settlements, large trade notifications, pricing).

  • Familiarity with pension and annuity product/business domain knowledge.

Base Pay Range: $29.86/hr - $37.64/hr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
