Job Description -

• Supervise and coordinate Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting packages to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage the general ledger close process and monitor compliance with established deadlines and service level agreements.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and accounting records.
• Lead and support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Monitor and review intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and settlements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, SOX requirements, and applicable accounting regulations.
• Identify process gaps, control deficiencies, and operational risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation, explanations, and resolving audit queries.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, standardization, and quality of R2R processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and external stakeholders.
• Review and analyze financial results, investigating variances and providing insights to management.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local accounting standards, as applicable.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, supporting performance management and professional growth.
• Allocate work within the team and monitor productivity to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
• Support transitions, system implementations, and process transformation projects affecting R2R operations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present operational and performance metrics to management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support decision-making.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to improve effectiveness and reduce manual effort.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex accounting and reporting issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities from an accounting and reporting perspective.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strong internal control adherence.
