Purpose of the role:

Interbrand is looking for Spanish-speaking Freelance Senior Strategist to collaborate as external strategic partners, supporting projects across both the LATAM market and Spain when required.

The Freelance Senior Strategist will work closely with the Strategy team and project leads (Associate Directors or Head of Strategy), bringing senior expertise to help define, manage, and deliver strategic projects while ensuring high-quality standards and client satisfaction.

This freelance role will act as a trusted strategic advisor, providing specialist knowledge, consulting expertise, and project support throughout different stages of engagement. The collaboration may also extend to international projects when required.

Senior Strategist Freelance – Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Interbrand as an external strategic partner, bringing senior-level expertise and supporting project teams across client engagements.
  • Provide strategic consulting support to clients, helping define objectives, identify opportunities, and deliver impactful solutions throughout the different stages of a project.
  • Contribute to strategic thinking and problem-solving, translating business challenges into clear brand and growth opportunities.
  • Support project teams in the development of strategic deliverables, including diagnostics, brand positioning, repositioning, brand architecture, and other strategic frameworks.
  • Lead and facilitate client workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder engagements when required.
  • Provide independent expertise and guidance to ensure the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of project outputs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of new business proposals, strategic points of view, and client presentations when relevant.
  • Share knowledge, methodologies, and best practices based on areas of expertise, supporting the continuous improvement of project teams.
  • Support international projects and cross-market initiatives, including engagements across Spain, LATAM, and other markets when required.

Required Knowledge:

  • Degree in Business, Advertising, PR or similar
  • Excels in written and verbal English
  • At least 6 years of experience in similar business
  • High degree of computer knowledge. 

Qualities and Skills:

  • Passionate about branding  and problem solving
  • Self-starter, who is proactive and can work effectively under pressure and speed
  • Sets high standards for his/her work and has good attention to detail
  • Able to juggle multiple and diverse projects simultaneously
  • Confident communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Naturally curious about consumer-facing issues and current affairs
  • Very good business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Open minded and can bring a fresh perspective to a problem
