About this role

The Fraud Analyst is responsible for real-time monitoring, review and initial investigation of suspicious digital transactions across all banking channels. The role ensures prompt detection, validation and escalation of potential fraud cases in line with SBP regulations, internal Fraud Risk Management policies, and FTDH requirements. Fraud Analysts operate in 24×7 shifts to maintain uninterrupted fraud surveillance and protect the bank and its customers from financial loss. 

Core Responsibilities :

  1. Monitor digital transactions and alerts generated by fraud detection systems on a 24×7 basis which include 1-Link’s transaction monitoring system, RAAST and FTDH.
  2. Review and analyze alerts to identify unusual or high-risk activity.
  3. Conduct preliminary investigations by verifying customer details and transaction patterns.
  4. Escalate confirmed or suspicious cases to relevant departments / Teams within defined SLAs.
  5. Support FTDH inward and outward dispute handling in compliance with regulatory timelines.
  6. Log all alert actions, findings and outcomes in the fraud case management system.
  7. Maintain high accuracy in documentation and ensure all actions are auditable.
  8. Participate in training sessions and provide feedback for continuous improvement of fraud detection rules and processes.
  9. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with the Bank’s security and data protection standards.

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in relevant field. 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fraud risk management unit, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of part of fraud risk management units.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with digital fraud detection systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while balancing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. 
  • Owning decisions from start to finish based on suspicious behaviour. 

Objective & KPI :

  • Alert Handling Efficiency: ≥ 95% of alerts reviewed and acted upon within SLAs. 
  • FTDH Timeliness: 100% adherence to SBP's 30 mins response requirement. 
  • Accuracy Rate: >99.00% correct classification of alert (true vs false positives). 
  • Escalation Timeliness: <5 Mins average for high-priority cases.
  • Confidentiality Compliance: Zero breaches of customer or case information,
