About this role

About Engine

Engine is the all-in-one travel and spend management platform trusted by 38K+ businesses and groups representing 1.8M+ travelers. We're the retailer and the rails of business travel, the fastest-growing company in travel tech, built on a decade of proprietary technology, supply, and pricing no one else can replicate. Other travel and AI companies run on our infrastructure to book real trips, hold rates, and move payments, without building any of it themselves. We built it, AI-forward at every layer, from how travelers book to how the rails run.

That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).

We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.

Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.

About the Role

Engine is looking for a Fraud Analyst to join our Risk team. You'll investigate and resolve fraud across Engine X — our corporate card and spend management product — and Engine's travel marketplace, working cases from detection through resolution with rigor, speed, and documentation discipline. This role sits within Engine's dedicated Risk function, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Fraud Operations, and is central to protecting Engine and its customers as we scale.

What You'll Do

  •       Investigate and close fraud cases across Engine X card fraud, application fraud, and travel marketplace disputes through the full investigation lifecycle
  •       Triage Early Fraud Warning (EFW) alerts and act quickly to prevent disputes before they escalate
  •       Manage card disputes and chargebacks through the full lifecycle — documentation, representment, and resolution
  •       Document every case to the standard required for Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing — complete, accurate, and defensible without verbal explanation
  •       Identify cross-case patterns — fraud rings, shared IP signals, behavioral clusters, and escalate findings proactively rather than treating each case in isolation
  •       Partner with Member Support, Legal/Compliance, and the Credit team on high-severity and coordinated fraud events
  •       Contribute to SOPs and playbook development as the fraud landscape evolves

What We're Looking For

  •       Experience investigating fraud cases from alert through resolution — card fraud, application fraud, or identity fraud
  •       Chargeback and dispute lifecycle experience
  •       Strong written documentation — notes that stand on their own, written to a standard that can support regulatory review
  •       Ability to identify patterns across cases, not just work each independently
  •       Salesforce or equivalent case management platform experience
  •       Fraud detection platform experience (SEON, Kount, or equivalent) a plus
  •       BSA/AML awareness; SAR filing support experience a plus
  •       CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) a plus, not required

Applications for this role will be accepted through 12/29/2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
