About this role
As a Fitter Apprentice here at Honeywell, you will embark on a comprehensive training journey to develop your skills in fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the operational efficiency of our facilities.
You will report directly to our Training Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Augusta, ME location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of our mechanical systems by supporting installation, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring that all work meets Honeywell's high standards for safety and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems under the guidance of experienced fitters.
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to perform fitting tasks accurately.
- Support the team in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in learning fitting and assembly techniques.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures related to mechanical fitting.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.

The hourly range for this position is $30.05 - $37.57. Please note that this compensation information serves as a general guideline.
