Job Description

  • NOTE: This role does not offer Relocation or Sponsorship. Applicants must be eligible to work in Jersey.
  • This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract

To implement GFCC Policies, Standards and Procedures within the Group Corporate Functions (referred to as the Business Area). To define and implement the GFCC Business Area Strategy. To provide specialist GFCC related guidance and advice. To identify and address GFCC specific awareness and training needs. This is essential to assure that the Business Area is conducting business in a compliant manner to avoid operational losses, fines, penalties or reputational damage.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 

  • First Degree in Risk Management

Experience Required :

  • 3-4 years in Group Anti Financial Crime 
  • The role requires an expert in Compliance with profound knowledge of the full dimensions of the field, but deep expertise in the relevant area of specialisation. Regulatory environment savvy, with the proven ability to influence all levels of employees across multiple countries and business areas to effectively implement compliance frameworks.
  • 5-7 years in FCC in the banking or financial industry. FCC frameworks. Risk assessments and risk-based approach to compliance. Strategic planning and operationalisation. Banking Products, Processes, Systems and Data.

Key Outputs :

  • Advise on the collection, capturing and maintenance of data to ensure the information is reliable and therefore will effectively guide critical business decisions.
  • Contribute in the setting of the CoE's technology plan in the context of the Group Compliance Function's plan and Group IT plan. Provide domain expertise to develop the relevant technological requirements. Adhere to and implement the relevant technology standards developed by the IT Function.
  • Drive and participate in oversight committees and forums relevant to specialised area of expertise, in order to monitor the implementation of the Internal Control Framework.
  • Participate in effective governance structures in order to meet the requirements imposed by governmental bodies, regulators, industry mandates or internal policies. Inter alia - GFFC-, Project-, Regional and/or Business Steering Committees, Management Committees, Client Risk Committees, Client Data Forums, GFCC Working Committees, Business Risk and Governance Committees, Business New and Amended Products and Services Committees, Group Risk Oversight Committee, etc.
  • Stay abreast of relevant trends and typologies in order to utilise this information to inform the Framework, to create awareness around new modus operandi and to identify potential risks.
