Job Description
1. Organization
- Must be fully familiar with all hotel financial procedures, company policies, and operating standards.
- Responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records and reports.
- Certifies the accuracy of the General Ledger and all statutory financial statements.
- Ensures compliance with local legislation, accounting standards, taxation requirements, and company policies.
- Oversees the preparation and submission of all compliance and regulatory documents.
- Coordinates and manages internal and external financial audits.
- Ensures proper accounting controls and procedures are established, documented, and maintained.
- Reviews and verifies all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Ensures accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reviews and approves monthly financial reports for Management and Corporate Office.
- Monitors cash flow, banking transactions, and treasury functions.
- Maintains adequate internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversees budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensures financial reports are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company requirements.
- Analyzes financial performance and provides recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
2. Management
- Directs and manages the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
- Establishes and maintains effective employee relations within the department.
- Recruits, interviews, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates finance team members.
- Provides coaching, counseling, performance feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary in accordance with company policies.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels and succession planning within the department.
- Conducts regular departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Develops departmental objectives aligned with hotel business goals.
- Collaborates closely with all Heads of Department to ensure effective budget control and cost management.
- Supports Management with strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.
- Identifies opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Promotes a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures confidentiality of all financial and sensitive company information.
- Acts as a key liaison between the hotel, auditors, banks, tax authorities, and corporate finance teams.
- Performs any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Corporate Finance Office.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA) will be an advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a senior finance management position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience in managing audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Previous experience with hotel accounting systems and ERP software.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent understanding of hospitality financial operations and cost control procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
