Finance Assistant

JOB PURPOSE To provide efficient day-to-day finance support, primarily to the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring that invoices, payments, receipts, reconciliations and account queries are processed accurately and on time. The role will support the Finance team, with accurate record-keeping, follow-ups and general finance administration. QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 National Diploma in Finance or Accounting B Com in Finance / Accounting (Advantage) Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 3 - 4 years’ experience working with an ERP or accounting system. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE Excellent writing and proof-reading skills with an eye for detail. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. COMPETENCIES Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of initiative to tight deadlines and provide innovative thinking around administration. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Working under pressure Deadline driven Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal skills.
