About the role
At Graphwise, you will be part of a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed technology business that is a leader in the
knowledge graphs and AI space. The Finance team is critical to the operational success of our business and a keeper
of best practice. We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to strengthen our team’s operational and
analytical capabilities as we continue expanding. Reporting directly to the VP Finance, this role offers a dynamic mix
of hands-on accounting (70%-75% of the role) alongside financial analysis, process optimization, and management
reporting (25%-30%). Across all responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with the internal Finance team, our
external accounting and tax partners, and other roles within the organization. If you possess a solid foundation in

What you’ll do
- US Entity Ownership: Over time, take full ownership of the accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting for our North America entity across the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. Liaise with US-based personnel and external advisors (bookkeepers, payroll, and tax professionals for corporate income and sales tax compliance).
- Working Capital & Credit Risk: Centralize cash collection (AR) efforts in close collaboration with Sales and internal stakeholders to maintain a healthy AR ledger and streamline collection workflows.
- Cost Accounting & Allocations: Support monthly employee time-tracking processes and labor cost allocation efforts across projects and business lines.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet control reviews, and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Commercial Support & Statutory Compliance: Assist commercial teams during Request for Proposal (RFP) processes with financial and vendor questionnaires. Manage statutory compliance reporting, including national statistics filings, investor requests, and ad-hoc regulatory surveys.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Actively identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements across finance workflows, leveraging modern tools, Excel add-ins, and AI/LLM applications.
- Analytical & Project Work: Partner directly with the VP Finance on ad-hoc financial analyses, forecasting, and data summarization to support strategic management and investor decision-making.
- Be ready to help with various accounting/ finance tasks across the P&L and Balance Sheet
What makes a good candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong grasp of end-to-end accounting principles and IFRS requirements across P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Experience with day-to-day operational functionality of accounting software (Bulgarian and/ or international). QuickBooks knowledge is valuable, although not required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formatting, sorting; functions/ formulas (xlookup, sumifs, etc.); pivot tables, etc.; and openness to utilizing modern automation/AI tools.
- High self-drive, attention to detail, and a process-improvement mindset.
- Experience and passion about financial analysis, data-driven insight generation, data quality monitoring, financial data summarization & presentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including excellent time management, organization and communication skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English is required. German language skills are a plus.
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.
