Responsibilities

We are hiring a Field Service Engineer to support Hamilton Storage systems at a dedicated customer site in Singapore. This is a permanent on-site role within a small team of engineers (2–3 FSEs) supporting the same location. Unlike traditional field service roles, this position does not require regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

On-site Support & Operations

• Provide daily on-site technical support for automated storage systems
• Ensure stable system operation and high equipment availability
• Work closely with laboratory and operational teams

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software-related issues
• Execute repairs, system checks and upgrades

System Ownership & Improvement

• Take ownership of system performance within the on-site team
• Identify recurring issues and implement improvements

Customer Interface

• Act as a key technical contact
• Support training and communication with users

Documentation

• Maintain service reports and records
• Follow safety and documentation standards

Work Environment

• Advanced scientific research environment
• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday
• No shift work and no 24/7 on-call service
• Stable on-site role at a single customer location

Qualifications

• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
• Structured problem solving
• Good communication in English
• High ownership and reliability
• Ability to work on teams

Education/Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in field service or technical maintenance
• Experience in automation, robotics or complex systems preferred
