This Position reports to:

Service Team Leader


 

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity in accordance with ABB work instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver reliable customer service, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for service business development. You will also contribute by coaching junior engineers and technicians during complex site activities.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role contributes to the Measurement & Analytics Business Area in the Faridabad-India region. Main stakeholders include Customers, Service Team Leader, Sales, and Product Support Teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical systems including Gas Chromatographs, continuous gas analyzers, and water analyzers to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.

  • Serve as the on-site technical focal point, providing prompt support, monitoring analyzer performance, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operation of installed systems.

  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules, maintain spare parts inventory coordination, and prepare accurate service reports and documentation for effective communication and closure of activities.

  • Promote operational excellence by identifying improvement opportunities, optimizing maintenance practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Diploma / B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.

  • 5–10 years of practical experience in Analytical products, specifically Gas Chromatographs, continuous gas analyzers, and water analyzers.

  • Effective diagnostic and analytical troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.

  • Experience in service planning, documentation, and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Willing to travel across the West region for service-related work.

  • Fluent in English with strong technical communication skills.
