Company Description
Anton Paar, one of the world leaders in laboratory instrumentation and services, has a new vacancy for a Field Service Engineer based in Perth (home-office). The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site support to customers in Western Australia carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will join a motivated, international team in a supportive work environment.
Job Description
- Duties include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Anton Paar’s Analytical measuring devices
- Calibration and electronic adjustments
- Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair
- Inventory management (car stock)
- Completion of administrative tasks associated with field service actions
- This role is home office based and the service work will be carried out on customer's sites
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a field-based service role
- Qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Experience with laboratory or analytical instruments
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Customer-facing experience with professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage service priorities
- Valid unrestricted driver's license
- Valid unlimited working rights in Australia
- Willingness to travel locally and overseas for training including overnight stays
- Ability to work independently and responsibly within a team
