Responsibilities

The Medical Education Pediatric Faculty member serves as a key clinical educator and pediatric subject matter expert within the Family Medicine Residency Program. This position is responsible for supporting pediatric education, curriculum development, patient care oversight, and accreditation compliance for residents and medical students. The role partners with pediatric providers, residency leadership, affiliated medical schools, and ambulatory care practices to ensure comprehensive pediatric training experiences that meet Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. The position supports inpatient, newborn, emergency, ambulatory, and continuity pediatric learning experiences while fostering excellence in clinical education and patient care.

Qualifications

Education
  • MD/DO from an accredited institution. Required or
  • Doctor of Psychology from an accredited institution. Required
Work Experience
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program. Required
  • Experience providing pediatric patient care in inpatient and/or ambulatory settings. Required
  • Experience teaching or mentoring medical students, residents, or other healthcare learners Preferred
  • Experience in curriculum development, academic medicine, or graduate medical education Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • MD - Physician - State Licensure Current unrestricted physician license or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state Upon Hire Required
  • BCP - Board Certified Pediatrics Upon Hire Required
