Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Facilities Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports our operational excellence. You will directly contribute to the optimal functioning of our infrastructure and systems.Every day you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will be expected to conduct regular inspections, manage vendor relationships, coordinate projects, and respond to facility-related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and building codes.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong problem-solving skills, a comprehensive understanding of building systems and infrastructure, and proven experience in facilities management or engineering.
- The Facilities Engineer - Maintenance competently and consistently performs the following:
- Responds to calls for service and completes assigned work orders.
- Responsible/accountable for the timely completion of all projects.
- Inspects and maintains areas of the hospital as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.
- Assists in shop clean-up and other areas needing cleaning.
Job Requirements
Required
- Vocational School Grad Trade or vocational school or equivalent combination of education andexperience knowledge of that provides thefollowing knowledge and abilities: building trades, hospital maintenance, state and local building codes, read blueprints and mechanical drawings, accurately estimatematerials required to complete project, maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
- Other certification or licensure in a construction-related field
