Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Welcome and escort guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and provide recommendations based on guests' preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve meals and beverages according to hotel standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and resolving concerns professionally.
- Build positive relationships with guests and create memorable dining experiences.
Restaurant Operations
- Prepare the restaurant for service, including table setup, mise en place, and station preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service.
- Follow opening, closing, and side-duty procedures.
- Ensure all operating equipment is handled and maintained properly.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety regulations.
- Follow HACCP and hotel hygiene standards at all times.
- Ensure cleanliness of utensils, glassware, crockery, and service equipment.
Sales & Revenue
- Promote menu items, beverages, and daily promotions.
- Apply effective upselling techniques to maximize food and beverage revenue.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, and beverage offerings.
Teamwork
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service.
- Support colleagues during busy operations and special events.
- Attend departmental training sessions and continuously improve service skills.
