About your job

In this position, you develop mining intelligence, responsible sourcing practices and raw material risk assessments. Your work directly supports supply security, market access and well-informed business decisions through international collaboration with suppliers, partners and industry bodies.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive and further develop responsible sourcing principles, standards and processes.
  • Evaluate mining operations, deposits, projects and sourcing opportunities, including site visits.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on mining, quality, traceability and compliance.
  • Use data and structured analysis to support risk assessments, reporting and decision-making.
  • Represent the company in relevant industry networks and forums.

Your profile

You have a master’s degree in mining, geology, geoscience or a related field, together with extensive hands-on experience from the mining industry. Your background combines raw material sourcing, responsible supply chains and the evaluation of mining operations or sourcing opportunities across international markets.

Your background includes

  • Deep expertise in mining, raw material sourcing and responsible supply chains.
  • Extensive experience evaluating mining operations, projects, deposits or sourcing opportunities.
  • An understanding of the commercial, technical, geopolitical and sustainability factors affecting raw material supply chains.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex information into clear business recommendations.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken.

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Experience in responsible sourcing, ESG, compliance or supply chain governance.
  • Knowledge of European critical law material regulations.
  • Experience conducting audits or mine assessments.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, dashboards, AI-supported analysis or digital mining intelligence tools.
  • German language skills in professional settings.

To succeed, you communicate clearly across disciplines, organizational levels and cultures. You build trusted stakeholder relationships, adapt confidently to settings ranging from large mining operations to smaller remote rural artisanal mining sites, and explain complex technical and compliance topics in an accessible way. High integrity, sound professional judgment and strong writing and presentation skills complete your profile.
