The Experience Designer contributes to strategies and frameworks on projects. This role collaborates across teams, ensuring deliverables align with user and business needs. This role conducts basic user research with limited support and provide actionable insights. Additionally, this role designs and tests prototypes effectively.
As a user experience product designer, the candidate will help in stitching together end-to-end user journeys, turning a touchpoint into a cohesive experience that meets the needs of the business and the users.
Working across research, design, and product strategy, they will ensure the users experience effortless contunuity.
Depth & Scope:
- Experienced working professional role providing experience design, within their own area of specialty
- Requires experienced, conceptual and practical knowledge within their own specialty and knowledge of broader related areas
- Accountable for own work and sometimes others; acts as an escalation point or knowledge resource for others in their own area
- Leads projects/products or workstreams within broader project/product with moderate risk and may be accountable for managing ongoing activities, processes and functional programs
- Works within broad guidelines / policies and independently performs tasks from end to end
- Takes day to day direction from Product Owner, Tech Leads and UX Design Lead within their platform/journey
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience, preferably in digital design, interaction and visual design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journey stitching and systems thinking (core focus) will be required to map, design, and refine end-to-end journeys for feedback from the business and from users
- Lightweight user research (with the help of UX lead) to gain feedback early and often
- Execution and visual design using standards and components, often leveraging Figma Make
- Strategy and collaboration (this is a cross-functional team).
- Experience with Figma, Figma Make, Co-Pilot, experience in banking industry or somewhere with legacy apps
Customer Accountabilities:
- Translates concepts into wireframes and mock-ups that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Facilitates product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products
- Designs and delivers wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Identifies design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Takes a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs
Shareholder Accountabilities:
- Contributes to various operational activities and experience design processes as assigned
- Consistently exercises discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate
- Be knowledgeable of experience design practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keeps abreast of emerging trends for own functional area
- Protects the interests of the organization – identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high risk activities as necessary
- Conducts internal and external research projects; supports the development/delivery of presentations/communications to management or broader audience
- Conducts reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, makes recommendations, assesses the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices
- Monitors service, productivity and assesses efficiency levels within own function and implements continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist
- Acquires and applies expertise in experience design, provides guidance, assistance and direction to others
- Identifies, recommends and effectively executes standard practices applicable to the discipline
- Adheres to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts
- Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
