About this role

Indianapolis, IN (In-Office, 5 Days a Week at the Stutz) Β· Full-Time Β· $65,000–75,000 Base + Quarterly Bonus Β· 15–20 Trips a Year

Imagine being the most interesting person at a very boring conference. Every room you build gives a firm owner a reason to remember us. Every activation turns a badge scan into a real conversation. Every party you throw is the one people are still talking about on the flight home. That's this role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'd be joining a firm that helps accounting and finance teams grow with top offshore and onshore talent, and a marketing team determined to prove that accounting doesn't have to be boring.

Accounting is a 500-year-old industry. A Franciscan friar wrote down double-entry bookkeeping in 1494 and, if we're being honest, not a lot has happened since. That makes it the single best place on earth to do something interesting. Every conference looks like the last one. Every booth has a bowl of mints and a stack of branded pens.

As an Events & Activations Manager, you decide where CAS shows up and what happens once we're there. You'll run a calendar of about 150 events a year across the country and be on the ground for 15 to 20 of them. You'll have a creative team behind you and a budget that's genuinely yours to spend. You'll report to the Head of Marketing.

This is a hands-on role. It is not a desk-only planning job, and it is not an admin seat. Some of it is deeply unglamorous: shipments go to the wrong city, and venues change the floor plan the night before. The person who thrives here gets good at that part too.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You've run events before, and you have stories about the ones that almost went sideways.

  • You see a standard conference format and immediately think of what you'd do differently.

  • You think in experiences, not checklists. You know what makes people stay, talk, and remember.

  • You're comfortable owning a budget and making real spending decisions without waiting for permission.

  • You stay calm when logistics break, and you fix things before anyone notices.

  • You can run dozens of events in parallel without losing track of a single shipment.

  • You measure a great event by the pipeline it fills, not just the room.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Event Strategy & Selection. Decide where we show up. Evaluate conferences, trade shows, and industry gatherings across the country, and recommend where CAS invests its time and budget.

Activations & Experiences. Make every appearance feel like ours. Design booth concepts, on-site activations, dinners, and after-parties that get firm owners talking and look nothing like the booth next door.

Budget Ownership. Spend it like it's yours, because it is. Build, manage, and track event budgets line by line, and make smart tradeoffs between cost and impact.

Logistics & Vendor Management. Get everything and everyone to the right place. Manage venues, caterers, AV, transportation, printers, and shipping. Negotiate with vendors and hold them to what they promised.

On-Site Execution. Run the room. Lead setup, day-of operations, and breakdown across 15 to 20 trips a year. Solve problems in real time and keep the experience seamless for guests.

Creative Collaboration. Bring the ideas to life. Work with the creative and marketing team on event themes, branding, swag, signage, and content captured on-site.

Pipeline & Results Tracking. Prove the room was worth it. Track attendance, leads, and pipeline sourced from each event, and use the data to decide where we go next.

Event Operations. Build a system that survives volume. Create and maintain the calendars, checklists, shipping trackers, and playbooks that keep 150 events a year running without starting from scratch.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Hands-on experience planning and running events (required)

  • Based in Indianapolis or willing to relocate, and able to work in-office five days a week at the Stutz (required)

  • Able to travel 15 to 20 times a year, with heavier travel in the fall (required)

  • Authorized to work in the United States (required)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with conferences, trade shows, B2B activations, or field marketing

  • Experience managing event budgets and negotiating with vendors

  • Experience running multiple events at the same time

  • Familiarity with tracking leads or pipeline from events

  • Exposure to accounting, professional services, or B2B audiences

  • A portfolio, photos, or examples of events you've built

HOW WE WORK

Quality First. Every detail, from the invite to the last shuttle, reflects on CAS. We sweat the details so guests don't have to.

Security Matters. Attendee, client, and company information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality.

Reliable Collaboration. We work closely through Slack, Zoom, shared documentation, and predictable communication rhythms, on-site and in the office.

Own the Outcome. We don't just book the venue. We own the result, close loops, and raise issues before they become problems.

Continuous Improvement. After every event, we ask what worked, what didn't, and how to make the next one better.

WHY CAS IS DIFFERENT

We are not a gig platform. We are not a freelance marketplace. We are not short-term staffing.

We aren't looking for someone to book venues from a list. We're looking for someone who wants to decide how CAS shows up in an entire industry.

At CAS, you'll enjoy:

  • $65,000–75,000 base salary, plus a quarterly bonus on pipeline sourced

  • 20 days PTO

  • All travel covered

  • A real events budget that's yours to spend

  • A creative team behind every event you build

  • Unlimited marketing

  • A culture built around ownership, creativity, and doing the opposite of what everyone else does
