Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Event Operations, the Event/Equipment Support Specialist in Events Technology is Momentive's primary frontline resource for clients using our events technology and AV systems. This is a hybrid role that blends remote technical support, periodic onsite client training, and in-office equipment testing — ensuring clients have a seamless experience before, during, and after their events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong client relationships, and brings a passion for technology in the live events and production space. This is an on-site role in our East Norriton Township, PA location with occasional travel required.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Remote Client Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to events technology, AV systems, and software platforms via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Escalate complex issues to internal technical teams when necessary and follow through to resolution.

Onsite Client Training

  • Travel to client sites to deliver hands-on training sessions on software platforms and AV/events technology.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and documentation tailored to client needs.
  • Build strong client relationships through consultative, in-person engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and relay feedback to internal teams.

In-Office Equipment Testing

  • Report to the Philadelphia-based office to assist in testing, configuration, and quality assurance of AV and events technology equipment ahead of deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal events and technical teams to ensure equipment is event ready.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues identified during testing cycles.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or client-facing technology role.
  • Familiarity with AV systems, events technology, or production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel (approximately once per month)

Preferred

  • Experience with ticketing/CRM platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Knowledge of event production workflows or live event environments.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications a plus.
