We are seeking a Communications and Event Specialist to provide cross-functional support for communications, change management, program management, and event planning efforts for a federal client. This role will primarily support client event planning activities and communications with the potential for expansion based on client need. The ideal candidate will bring strong core consulting skills, sound judgement with the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and precise attention to detail.

  

What Your Day Might Include…

  • Lead and support end-to-end planning and execution of client events, including agenda development, logistics coordination, scheduling, venue/vendor coordination, materials preparation, and day-of support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders on event planning matters, exercising independent judgment to resolve issues and keep efforts on track
  • Support communications deliverables such as talking points, briefing materials, newsletters, presentations, and stakeholder messaging
  • Assist with change management activities, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and readiness/adoption support for organizational initiatives
  • Provide program management support, including maintaining schedules, tracking action items and deliverables, preparing status updates, and supporting risk/issue tracking
  • Prepare clear, polished, client-ready deliverables with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate with internal team members and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and expectations

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust, active DHS CBP Public Trust or Top Secret required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3+years of demonstrated experience in a human capital initiatives, communications, event planning, project management, or related role
  • Experience supporting event planning and logistics, ideally in a government or enterprise client setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing client-ready materials
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort interfacing directly with government clients and stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
