The Role

BinSentry is seeking a Data Steward to help drive our ERP implementation forward and own the integrity of our data through migration. This is a hands-on role combining data stewardship with project coordination — you'll keep the implementation on track while making sure the master and financial data we bring into NetSuite is clean, accurate, and trustworthy from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data stewardship & migration : Analyze, cleanse, validate, and reconcile master data (customers, vendors, items, chart of accounts) and financial data ahead of migration into NetSuite.
  • Data quality processes : Design and document repeatable processes and standards to create and maintain high-quality data post go-live, including data governance, validation rules, and ownership
  • Validation & reconciliation : Verify migrated data against source systems; identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies; and support user acceptance testing.

What Success Looks Like

  • Successfully support trial data loads into the sandbox environment, identifying and resolving validation errors quickly.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders during UAT to ensure trial trial balances, AR/AP subledgers, and item catalogs tie back to the exact penny.
  • Support the execution of the final migration of master and opening balances with 100% data reconciliation.
  • Zero business disruption caused by bad data post go-live (e.g., no delayed customer invoicing, misallocated inventory, or broken GL accounts).
  • Deliver documented Data Governance SOPs so the team can maintain high data quality long-term.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience - including ERP implementations, ideally as a data lead, data steward, or migration analyst.
  • Strong data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation skills; comfort working with large datasets (Excel, CSV, SQL a plus).
  • Solid understanding of master data and financial/accounting data (GL, AP, AR, chart of accounts).
  • Experience defining data governance / data quality processes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to work independently in a contract capacity.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple workstreams and stakeholders aligned.

Preferred

  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Prior project coordination experience.

Why Join BinSentry

  • Gain direct exposure to senior Finance leadership and cross-functional teams.
