About this role

onsemi's semiconductor fabrication facility in Syracuse, NY, is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to join the team. Our Technology enables the next generation of power conversion, accelerating the transition to high-efficiency, high-power conversion solutions and inspiring new power system architectures

  • Create procedures and perform preventive maintenance on multiple toolsets.
  • Work with process engineers to bring tools online and qualify them for manufacturing.
  • Responsible for tool uptime metrics
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, industry standards, and cleanroom best practices
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar job function.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for process/equipment interactions. 
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of tool sets in at least two areas: MOVCD reactor, DUV photolithography, etch, thin films, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Prior experience with wide bandgap materials is desired.


onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $25.53-$44.76 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
