To lead and support the engineering team in maintaining hotel facilities, equipment, and systems in a safe, efficient, and guest-focused manner, ensuring all maintenance activities meet operational, safety, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily engineering operations, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out for all hotel equipment, rooms, and public areas.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimize guest impact.
Support the Chief Engineer in planning schedules, manpower allocation, and maintenance priorities.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire life safety regulations at all times.
Monitor energy consumption and support initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
Coordinate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
Assist with training, coaching, and performance development of engineering team members.
Supervise external contractors and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
Prior supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
Good understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance, and compliance requirements.
