About The Role

Yuno is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Integrations team — a group of engineers responsible for connecting Yuno's platform to PSPs, acquirers, and payment gateways worldwide.

You'll own the technical direction and delivery of a critical part of Yuno's payment infrastructure, while building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering team in a fast-moving, global environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical expertise, people management, and deep payments knowledge to build scalable and reliable solutions that power global commerce.

You're not just managing a team — you're shaping the technical foundation that enables Yuno to connect merchants with payment providers around the world.

You'll work at the intersection of engineering, payments, and product, solving complex integration challenges and ensuring our systems are scalable, maintainable, secure, and built to perform at global scale.

Your Contribution Will Be

Technical leadership — lead the technical evolution of Yuno's APIs and payment integrations, setting architectural direction and engineering standards

Team leadership — hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative engineering culture

Architecture and development — own system and integration architecture connecting backend services and payment flows, while contributing hands-on to development, architecture decisions, and code reviews

Engineering excellence — drive best practices in API design, testing, performance, security, and maintainability

Cross-functional collaboration — partner with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align technical solutions with business and merchant needs

Scalability and reliability — ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, well-documented, and capable of supporting enterprise merchants and global payment volumes

Technical mentorship — provide engineers with technical guidance and architectural direction, helping the team grow its technical capabilities

Payments infrastructure — deep experience with payments infrastructure, including network tokens, routing, and transaction optimization

Backend engineering — solid hands-on backend engineering experience, with proficiency in Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar languages

Architecture — strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns

Databases — experience working with SQL and relational databases

Security — knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles

AI-first development — experience setting standards for AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and code generation using LLMs and tools like Claude Code or similar
