About this role

About Us

We build industrial AI cameras used by manufacturers around the world. Our products help customers detect issues in real time and improve manufacturing reliability across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Reliability is everything—when our cameras stop working, factory production can be affected.

Our engineering team is based in Taipei, with headquarters in San Francisco. We collaborate closely with software, AI, embedded, and customer engineering teams across multiple regions to build products trusted by manufacturers worldwide.

The Role

We're looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Taipei engineering team.

This internship focuses on software quality, testing, and automation. You'll start by learning our product through manual end-to-end testing, then gradually take on automated testing, CI workflows, and AI validation tasks. You'll work closely with experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience building reliable software for real production environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in software engineering, web development, QA automation, or AI-powered products.

What You'll Do

Manual QA & Product Testing

  • Execute end-to-end test cases for new features and product releases.

  • Verify product behavior and reproduce reported issues.

  • Identify edge cases and work with engineers to improve product quality.

Test Automation

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

  • Improve testing coverage for new features.

  • Learn how automated testing integrates into our development workflow.

CI & Development Workflow

  • Help maintain and improve our continuous integration (CI) testing pipeline.

  • Investigate test failures and collaborate with engineers to improve reliability.

AI Validation

  • Validate AI model outputs and product behavior.

  • Help collect and organize testing data to improve our AI feedback loop.

Device Setup & Lab Support

  • Prepare cameras and testing devices for software validation.

  • Flash firmware and configure testing environments when needed.

  • Maintain testing equipment and keep the lab organized.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.

  • Experience building software projects through coursework, hackathons, or personal projects.

  • Comfortable programming in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or another modern programming language.

  • Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web development (HTML, CSS, React, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development.

  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar tools.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (HTTP, TCP/IP, IP configuration).

  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.

Why Join Us

  • Work on AI products deployed in manufacturing facilities around the world.

  • Learn directly from experienced software, AI, and embedded engineers.

  • Gain hands-on experience with software testing, automation, CI pipelines, and AI systems.

  • Own meaningful projects that directly improve product quality and reliability.

  • Join a fast-growing, profitable startup where interns contribute to real engineering work from day one.
